This kit includes everything needed to install a Radium fuel surge tank (FST) with a single 39mm fuel pump in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Radium FSTs are CNC-machined from aluminium, fully anodised, and use PTFE-insulated wiring and submersible hose for compatibility with alcohol fuels including ethanol, methanol and E85.

The FST mounts in a collision-safe location behind the rear seat and in front of the plastic panelling in the boot. The panel reinstalls after fitment, so 100% of usable boot space is retained. A powder-coated aluminium bracket bolts to the OEM mounting bosses with no drilling or cutting, and the pre-assembled, cut-to-length 6AN PTFE hoses integrate with the OEM fuel lines. Wiring uses flying leads and Raychem solderless butt splices, so no soldering is required and assembly takes less than 30 minutes.

Important Notes

• The fuel surge tank and fuel pump are not included and must be purchased separately
• Not compatible with RHD models that have the OEM windscreen washer reservoir in the mounting location – check your reservoir before ordering
• Plumbing and wiring are designed for a single pump – a dual-pump FST requires a Radium DIY harness and a second hose from the FST to the fuel rail
• When using a Radium FST-R, the kit reuses the OEM fuel pressure regulator: one hose is not used, the OEM 1/4" FPR return hose must be removed, drained or plugged, and the FPR vacuum hose must be extended to the boot
• The OEM fuel pump housing has a restrictive return port, so slightly elevated static fuel pressure is normal with a high-flow pump – the return port can be enlarged as described in the instructions
• Depending on the surge tank pump flow rate, a main tank pump upgrade may be needed – as an estimate, the main tank pump should flow roughly 40-50% of the surge tank pump
