The Radium Engineering 20-0611 RA-Series Fuel Cell is a circular 10.5 US gallon (39.7L) competition fuel cell, designed and manufactured by Radium Engineering to meet the safety requirements of the FIA and SFI. Its circular shape is designed to sit in the spare tyre well, keeping fuel low and out of the way.
RA-Series fuel cells suit all types of motorsport, including road racing, time attack, drifting, rally, off-road racing and endurance.
Construction
The heart of the fuel cell is the seamless polymer bladder. This component undergoes thorough testing and carries the critical certifications. Radium RA-Series bladders are made from a special polymer that is resistant to all fuel types, including petrol, diesel, AV gas, E15, E85, ethanol and methanol. The bladder is filled with explosion-suppressing anti-slosh foam and housed in a powder-coated aluminium enclosure.
Certification
RA-Series fuel cells are tested and approved by the FIA and SFI. Every cell is serialised and comes with both certifications and the associated paperwork. Certifications are valid for 5 years from the date of manufacture.
