GFB EX38 External Wastegate

The GFB EX38 is a compact 38mm external wastegate designed to deliver high flow performance in a smaller package. Standing just 93mm tall, the EX38 is shorter than many competing wastegates without compromising airflow or reliability.

The EX38 is supplied with a 10psi spring. Additional 5psi, 7psi and 10psi springs are available, allowing different spring combinations to achieve base boost pressures of 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17 and 22psi.

Its inlet flange features a tapered internal entry to help create a smooth transition from the exhaust pipe into the wastegate. The larger seat internal diameter also provides increased flow compared with other wastegates in the same size category.

The EX38 is directly compatible with TiAL MV-S flanges, making it suitable for turbocharger kits originally designed for TiAL wastegates.

Built for Extreme Conditions

GFB external wastegates are engineered to provide maximum flow in a compact and durable design. The EX38 features an investment-cast 253MA chromium-nickel stainless-steel body, a CNC-machined billet stainless-steel valve, stainless-steel weld-on fittings and stainless-steel mounting hardware.

The actuator uses a CNC-machined billet 6061 aluminium housing and a Nomex-reinforced silicone diaphragm for reliable operation in extreme heat. An internal shroud protects the valve stem from excessive heat and helps prevent carbon-related sticking.
