Overview
The PRL Motorsports Baffled Coolant Expansion Tank in Red is a TIG-welded 6061 aluminium replacement for the failure-prone factory plastic reservoir, with internal baffling, more than double the OEM coolant capacity, and a striking red anodised finish that pops in any engine bay.
Why Upgrade the Factory Tank
The OEM plastic expansion tanks on the FK8, FL5, and 1.5T Civic platforms can weaken and crack from heat and pressure cycles over time. PRL's billet aluminium tank handles higher pressures, won't degrade with heat, and the internal baffling keeps coolant in contact with the cap during sustained cornering and braking.
