Wheels for typical 1BOX vans must meet the JWL-T standard, which is stricter than the standard for ordinary passenger cars. That usually means extra weight, so balancing strength against weight is the main challenge.

The TE37SB was developed around the idea of the 1BOX as a “Sports Box”. Its newly designed inner rim suppresses flex, giving high strength and rigidity with ample margin over JWL-T, while weight is kept to approximately 7.5 kg in the 17x6.5 size.

For the TE37’s 30th anniversary, this commemorative model builds on the current TE37SB and adds spoke stickers and anniversary-specific details as a tribute to the original TE37, without excessive decoration.
