Radium Engineering 13-1187 Fuel Pump Filter Base Adapter – 12mm OD Brushless Pumps

The Radium Engineering 13-1187 fuel pump filter base adapter is designed to permit the use of 12mm OD brushless fuel pumps (commonly made in China) with the standard Radium Engineering fuel pump strainer. The standard Radium strainer is designed for 11mm OD pumps from Bosch, Denso, Ti Automotive, Walbro, and GM Delphi — this adapter bridges the gap for the slightly larger 12mm die-cast inlet OD found on generic brushless pumps, restoring proper press-fit mounting and filtration.

Radium Engineering uses a fuel pump strainer compatible with 1–3 pumps in many products, found in fuel hangers and surge tanks including, but not limited to:

The standard fuel pump base supplied with these products is for 11mm OD pumps (Bosch, Denso, Ti Automotive, Walbro, etc.). This 13-1187 adapter permits the use of 12mm OD brushless pumps that are made in China. These pumps share the same ID inlet as the standard pumps, however the die-cast OD of their inlet is slightly larger — preventing a press-fit for proper mounting and filtration when using the standard Radium strainer.

Note: The Deatschwerks DW440 brushless pump is of genuine OEM quality made by Bosch Motorsports. DW440 pumps are compatible with the original Radium Engineering fuel pump strainer. Do NOT purchase this fuel pump base adapter for the DW440 brushless pump.
