Engineered for the thermal demands of high-performance driving, the Paragon 2-piece rear rotor pair delivers exceptional heat dissipation, reduced unsprung weight, and consistent braking performance across both road and track use. The directional ventilated vane design — featuring 48 precision-cast vanes — draws heat away from the friction surface under sustained braking loads, keeping temperatures in check lap after lap.
The friction ring is machined from CM-250 high carbon alloy cast iron, a material chosen for its superior wear resistance and thermal stability compared to standard grey iron. Each rotor is finished using CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) turning, producing an ultra-precise surface that promotes even pad bedding and eliminates the need for a break-in grind.
The two-piece floating design pairs the iron friction ring with a lightweight 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminium hat via stainless steel bobbins and anti-rattle clips. The floating interface allows the ring to expand thermally without distorting the hat, reducing the risk of brake judder and extending rotor life. The slotted face pattern continuously sweeps the pad surface clean of gases and debris, maintaining consistent bite throughout the braking zone.
The aluminium hat is available in Natural or Hard Anodised finish and is bolt-on compatible with OEM McLaren rear hub carriers — no modifications required. The complete assembly arrives pre-built and ready to install, including a detailed installation manual.
