Paragon Performance 2-piece rotors offer superior braking and cooling efficiency for demanding track and race applications. Directional ventilation vanes create suction and turbulence to guide cool air through the rotor, improving heat dissipation and increasing resistance to cracking under harsh track conditions. Paragon testing indicates the directional vane design can run up to 30% cooler than OE rotors and increase cooling efficiency by up to 30%.

The friction rings are made from CM-250 specially formulated high-carbon alloy cast iron for strong bite, consistent thermal characteristics, high-temperature strength, and durability. The rings are heat treated to release internal stress and help prevent deformation and vibration, then machined using a state-of-the-art CBN process to support better bedding with new brake pads.

Vibration is reduced with lateral run-out held within 0.03mm and balance variation within 2 grams. The fully floating 2-piece design allows thermal expansion while minimising deformation and helping the rotor self-centre with the pads. The slotted face pattern helps maintain a clean contact surface, dissipates heat and gases generated during braking, and helps prevent water films from forming between the pad and rotor in wet conditions. Lower weight than most OE rotors helps reduce unsprung mass and improve overall handling.

Aluminium hats are CNC-machined from lightweight 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminium for high strength and durability under extreme track conditions. They are finished with Mil-spec Type III black hardcoat/hard anodising to increase resistance to wear and corrosion, with unnecessary material removed for weight savings while maintaining structural integrity. Clear hard-anodised hats are recommended for track and race use because dyed black hardcoat hats can discolour above 500°F / 260°C.
