Core thickness. The 36mm performance radiators are an all-aluminium upgrade over the factory radiator for street and occasional track use. The 48mm racing radiators have a thicker core for more cooling capacity on track, in time attack or in high-power builds. A few applications use other core sizes — check the specifications on each listing.

Koyorad Performance Radiators feature an all-aluminium construction with high-density cores. Unlike factory radiators that use plastic end tanks (which are prone to cracking and leaking over time), Koyorad radiators are fully TIG-welded aluminium. The majority of Koyorad's all-aluminium performance radiators are designed specifically for Manual Transmissions, as they do not feature the built-in transmission cooler lines found in automatic OEM radiators. If you have an automatic transmission, you will typically need to install an external transmission cooler to use a manual Koyorad performance radiator.

We highly recommend using a high-quality, OEM-spec anti-freeze mixed with distilled water (usually a 50/50 mix). Never use tap water, as the minerals can cause corrosion and scale build-up inside the aluminium core, which will void the warranty and reduce cooling efficiency.
