Overview

The PRL Motorsports Subframe Reinforcement System (SRS) Collar Kit eliminates the 2mm slack between factory subframe mounting holes and bolts — significantly improving steering response, reducing chassis flex, and removing the vibrations and rattles felt under aggressive cornering and braking on the 11th-gen Civic platform.

The Problem the SRS Solves

OEM engineers balance performance against comfort, cost, and ease of assembly. That balance leaves roughly 2mm of clearance between the subframe mounting holes and the bolts — slack that allows the subframe to shift under load. Under hard cornering or braking, that shift becomes unwanted movement, vibration, and decreased steering sharpness.

How It Works

The SRS Collar Kit fills that 2mm space with precision-machined collars that secure the subframe to the chassis with zero slop. The result is dramatically improved steering response, more consistent chassis behaviour, and reduced NVH transmitted to the cabin.
