The ADRO G87 M2 race canards are part of ARD (ADRO Racing Division), ADRO's motorsport engineering program. Every ARD component is CFD simulated and track tested before it reaches customers, and ADRO's Head of Aerodynamics brings an F1 development background to every ARD project.

Rather than a styling add-on, the quad canards manage the vortices started by the front splitter assembly and direct airflow around the front wheels. Their stacked vortices build in strength as they travel rearward, forming a curtain of managed airflow between the splitter endplates and the wheel arches. This reduces the turbulent, high-pressure air spilling inboard from the rotating wheels, keeping the underbody flow cleaner.

The complete ARD Aero Package generates 2555 N (574 lb) of downforce at 180 km/h, compared with 189 N for a stock M2. The canards are made from prepreg carbon fiber, which holds its geometry under sustained load, so each canard keeps its angle of attack, and the vortex it produces, from the first lap to the last.
